ASN

An ASN (Autonomous System Numbers) is a group of one IP prefixes, or more, managed by one or more AS, those network operators that enforce a single, clearly defined routing policy.  

Network operators must have an ASN to control routing within their networks and to exchange routing information with other Internet service providers.
