If you need to add a domain to your cPanel account you will first need to know if this domain will point to the same folder as your main domain or if the domain will point to a new website. If the domain must point to the same folder as your primary domain name, you will need to add it as an Alias using the “Alias” tool.
If the domain will point to another website then your main domain, you will need to add this domain as an additional domain using the “Additional Domains” tool. The receiving folder for this domain will be determined when you create the additional domain, and you will need to install your files in the specified folder. Please note that we recommend creating a cPanel account for each of your websites and not using the additional domain option for security reasons. Use this option only if the new website cannot be hosted in another cPanel account.
