How to remove your IP from the blacklist of your VPS / HybridCloud

In this article, we will see how to remove your IP address if it was accidentally blocked by your server.

  1.  First, if your IP is blocked, you will need internet access from another IP. Example: A mobile with 4g.
  2. Please connect to the WHM of your VPS / HybridCloud:
  3. In the search bar on the left, enter “Firewall” and select the option “ConfigServer Security & Firewall”. At the bottom of the page, you will see a place ” Search for IP ”. Enter the blocked IP here and validate. If the IP is blocked, you will see the reason and a small padlock on the next screen. Click on the small padlock to unlock the IP. It is very important to note the reason for the blockage and to intervene so that the problem no longer occurs in the future. If you do not understand the reason for the blocking, you can create a support ticket.

Tip: If you have a fixed IP address, you can permanently IP this IP by writing it in the green box to the right of ” Quick Allow ”. CAUTION: Do not whitelist any IP.

  4. If the IP is still blocked, you can check by entering “cPhulk” in the search bar and clicking on the option “cPHulk Brute Force Protection”. Subsequently, click on ” History Reports ” and copy the IP to the designated place. If your IP is present, click on ” Remove Blocks and Clear Reports ” to remove it.

Info: cPHulk is an anti-brute force system that we use at PlanetHoster. It is this system that will blacklist an IP that tries to connect, example: the WHM, repeatedly with bad identifiers.

Tip: You can also whitelist your IP here, you have to click on the tab ” Whitelist management ” and add your whitelist IP in the indicated place and click on ” add ”. Again, be careful with the whitelist and not add any IP.

You can also unlock by completing a reCaptcha that will appear on the site directly!

If you have not managed to unlock your IP after these steps, please contact PlanetHoster support.
