A traceroute is a tracking of a packet (given) on the network. It starts from your computer to go on your Internet network of your provider, then on the PlanetHoster network and finally on your hosting.
This article explains how to send a traceroute to our technical team, as they may sometimes ask you for it in order to analyze the source of a problem.

Step 1 — Run the Command in a Terminal
The procedure differs slightly for Windows, Mac and Linux.
Windows
Open a command terminal: Start => Program => Accessories => Command Terminal.
In Windows 10, just search Command Prompt (CMD) in Cortana Search.
Run the following command:
tracert yourdomainname.com
Mac
Type Applications => Utilities => Terminal or Spotlight => Terminal.
Run the following command:
traceroute yourdomainname.com
Linux
Run the following command on a command terminal:
traceroute yourdomainname.com
Step 2- Send the Information to PlanetHoster
Copy and paste the information in a PlanetHoster ticket.
