How to Modify the DNS Servers of a OVH Domain to Point Towards PlanetHoster

Introduction

In some circumstances, it may be worthwhile to keep a domain registered with OVH, while having their DNS servers changed to point to PlanetHoster’s. This can happen, for example, when you want to host your site and mailboxes at PlanetHoster while keeping your domain name hosted with OVH.

In this article, we will explain how to do this.

It may take up to 24 hours for the change to be fully implemented.

The PlanetHoster Glossary contains explanations on multiple topics and can be consulted to clarify certain terms.

How to Modify the DNS Servers

  1. Connect to your OVH customer area.
  2. Go to the Web Cloud section.
  3. Click Domain names and choose the concerned domain.
