The root (admin) password is the key that unlocks every door to your HybridCloud server. However, web experts recommend changing passwords frequently.
To make this easier for HybridCloud customers, we have implemented a new feature called “Automatic Password Change,” which automatically changes your HybridCloud server’s root password every week.
By default, this feature is enabled.

Why Having Implemented Automatic Password Changes?
Every day, security breaches occur that affect every aspect of the web (SSL/TLS encryption, server software vulnerabilities, compromised Wi-Fi, and much more). Over time, keeping the same password can be dangerous, as it may have been intercepted due to one of these breaches.
Therefore, we have implemented this feature to simplify the process for HybridCloud customers. Every week, the root (admin) password is automatically changed without customers having to think about it.
I Save My Passwords In My Browser For WHM: What Should I Do?
Save the password for your PH customer portal (my.planethoster.com), then go to My Hosting -> My Web Projects, click on your HybridCloud, and you will see a secure login link to WHM:
How Do I Turn Off This Feature?
We do not recommend disabling this feature, as doing so puts your server at risk.
If you still wish to disable it, go to My Hosting -> My Web Projects. Click on HybridCloud and disable the Automatic Password Change with the toggle switch.
Why Is it More Secure To Have The Password In The PH Customer Portal?
Our portal is audited daily by a team of cybersecurity researchers. Additionally, it is possible to restrict access to the customer portal by IP address and enable two-factor authentication.
Have All The Passwords On My HybridCloud Been Changed?
No. Only the root (administrator) password is changed weekly by the automatic password change feature.
