How to Obtain the EPP/AuthInfo Key of a Domain Registered with OVHcloud for Transfer

Introduction

These steps are designed to help you transfer your domain name registered with OVHcloud to your PlanetHoster customer account.

Some ccTLDs have special features that must be taken into account. Please refer to the article How to Transfer a Domain Name at PlanetHoster.

The domain name must have been created more than 61 days ago, and must not have been transferred or changed ownership during this period.

How to Obtain the EPP/AuthInfo Code

1. Log in to your OVHcloud Control Panel.
2. Select Web Cloud.
3. Click on Domain names and select the domain to transfer.
4. Click on the General information tab and see the Protection against domain name transfer¹ slider button under Security; it is enabled by default:

5. Click on the Protection against domain name transfer slider.
6. In the window that appears, confirm that you want to remove this protection.
7. Wait until the protection status changes to Disabled:

8. Click on AUTH/INFO next to Protection against domain name transfer:

9. Your AUTH/INFO code then appears in the window that pops up.
10. We recommend that you copy and paste the code to avoid transcription errors when transmitting the code to PlanetHoster.
11. The transfer may take up to 10 days.

1. The Protection against domain name transfer slider is not present when your domain name extension does not require a transfer code; in such a case, we can launch the transfer directly. ︎ ↩︎
