AFNIC — Registration of a Reserved Domain Name — Prior Review

Introduction

Here is the procedure to follow in order to submit an application for a .fr domain name requiring a preliminary examination.

To consult the .fr domain names for which registration is subject to prior review, please refer to the website of the registry of the .fr extension, Afnic: https://www.afnic.fr/en/observatory-and-resources/documents-to-consult-or-download/naming-policies/.

Procedure

  1. Register the domain name on the PlanetHoster website: https://www.planethoster.com/en/Domain-Names.
  2. Make the payment.
  3. Reply to the ticket with the subject “Additional information required for the registration of XXXXXX.fr”.
  4. Send a mock-up of the site, as well as a description of it. The mock-up must have a public URL. For example, URL PlanetHoster, Google Drive, Zupimages, etc.
  5. PlanetHoster charges 60 euros for the processing of the administrative file related to the registration of a reserved .fr domain name.

Note : PlanetHoster does not offer any guarantee on the registration of a domain name that requires prior review. If registration is not possible, a credit will be deposited to your PlanetHoster account.

Note : It is recommended to renew the domain name for several years.
